The Logitech G930 wireless gaming headphones deliver just about everything you could want from a headset, critics say. They sit comfortably despite their sturdy -- i.e., weighty -- design, offer several programmable buttons and their signal remains strong for the entire length of the 40 foot range, even if you lose line of sight with the transmitter. Critics say the audio is crisp, clear and rarely subject to interference from other devices on the 2.4 GHz spectrum. A few minor flaws are called out, however; listeners say the bass, while fine overall, could sound a bit richer, and the built-in Dolby 7.1 surround sound isn't terribly effective. Both are frequent complaints leveled at most wireless headphones, though. A more G930-centric issue lies in the push-and-hold design of its power button, which many users dislike. The Creative Sound Blaster World of Warcraft Wireless Headset (*Est. $125) is a little less expensive and sounds pretty good in its own right, but concerns about build quality have been raised. Logitech Wireless Gaming Headset G930
Having almost a perfect track record is great for any company but that also means that you can hardly impress people by doing something great yet again. However this is not the case with Logitech and that is perhaps why people like them so much. What i mean is that although the G35 is a great virtual surround headset Logitech did not sit idly on that success, instead they took it and improved it even further to create one of the best headsets we have ever used. The audio clarity is superb, positioning audio is right on the spot, wireless range is great and the battery lasts for up to 10 hours, what more could anyone ask from a gaming headset? True the bass is not what it could be and although it?s not something you really need in games i can't deny that it would be great if Logitech could focus on that as well. The programmable buttons are a nice addition but i feel we could live without them, at least until Logitech finally binds them with other applications as well.end article footer

The Logitech G930 performs great, a huge improvement from stereo sound. While there are numerous surround sound headsets out on the market, most support 5.1 surround sound as opposed to 7.1. The truth is most of the time the benefit of 2 additional audio channels cannot be consciously realized. For music, most are still using stereo recording so that's really not in the picture. For games and movies (namely Blu-ray) the two additional channels may offer a more 360 degree audio experience, but in the end the benefit, while there, is small. So it all comes down to the pricing.The Logitech G930 Wireless Gaming Headset is perfect for those looking for a 7.1 surround sound experience and wireless connectivity. The battery really does last up to 10 hours at reasonable volume levels, though the charging time is incredibly long if charged while in use. The G930 has excellent directional sound for 5.1/7.1 audio, and even the emulated 7.1 surround sound is good most of the time. Compared to competitors such as Razer, the Logitech G930 offers comparable or better audio experience thanks to integrated Dolby Headphone technology. Stereo sound quality is excellent, too. There is no wired state for the G930, but that's not a problem as the wireless experience is lag-free and can reach distances up to 40 ft. The only slight weakness is limited bass enhancements.The appearance is very classy. The G930 has a healthy mix of matte and glassy surfaces. The leather offers excellent comfort while preserving style. In this sense the G930 is priced reasonably, charging about $40 additional for the wireless feature.Overall the Logitech G930 Wireless Gaming Headset performs great and offers many features that make it a great headset for gamers. It's even a good choice for those wanting to take their PC entertainment to a new level.
