Samsung Galaxy S II (GT-I9100)
The Android space was dominated by the last year and I expect that this year the entire mobile space will be dominated by it's successor. The hardware on the won't be beaten for quite some time (perhaps until this time next year) only to be matched by the HTC Sensation and maybe by the as yet unannounced new iPhone. TouchWiz 4.0 really has matured and become much more useful and better to use than last year's version and with Google's recent announcement that Android handsets will be updated for 18 months after release, you will stay current if you purchase this handset. Especially, when Google releases Ice Cream Sandwich and Samsung updates the to this tasty treat. It is truly the best smartphone that I have ever used. The hardware and software comes together in harmony and produces a fast, easy and productive handset that is an absolute joy to use. If you have any doubts whatsoever about buying this handset, forget them. You will not be disappointed. We don't have a rating system here but if we did, it would get a 10/10 with no questions asked. The iPhone 4S has everything you'd expect from a smartphone, including 3G/3G+, WiFi and Bluetooth. Apple has learnt the lesson from the 'Antennagate' scandal that marred the launch of the iPhone 4. Users who held the phone in a certain way lost 3G signal in some cases and WiFi in other others. We never had a dropped call using the iPhone 4, we did find it hard to pick up signal in certain areas where coverage is less than optimal. Apple has repositioned the radio interfaces inside the iPhone 4S, separating the 3G and WiFi components. Neither of them is affected by the way you hold the phone and the network coverage is generally acceptable. Voice calls sound fine, but be careful not to turn the volume up too much because the speaker easily becomes saturated, which doesn't leave the other party sounding great.

The Nokia C7 has all of the connection options you'd expect from a modern smartphone, and picks up signal easily; voice calls are never a problem. Handling your e-mail isn't as easy as with other phones, and you have to use Ovi to sync it. There is support for Exchange. One of the phone's main strengths is definitely its GPS, which makes it very easy to get around on foot or by car (with voice instructions) using the excellent Ovi Maps app. It finds your location and plans your route very quickly.

Nokia?s smart phone offering has been not so much off the boil as distinctly lukewarm for the last few years with a series of capable handsets that offer some decent specs, but fall behind the competition for usability and, well, fun. Unfortunately, that looks unlikely to change with the Nokia C7. While it includes brick outhouse build quality and exemplary battery life along with an 8Mp camera among its broad range of features, it remains hamstrung by its clunky operating system.

Das Sensation gefällt uns außerordentlich gut. Im Vergleich zur Konkurrenz aus Korea, alsound, punktet es vor allem mit seinem erstklassigen User-Interface und den tollen Services wie Locations sowie mit einem deutlich hochwertigeren Look-and-Feel dank Unibody-Metallgehäuse. Dafür wiegt es natürlich deutlich mehr.Aber während vor allem Gewicht und Optik noch Geschmackssache sind, muss das HTC Sensation Im direkten Vergleich zum Galaxy S2 vor allem beim Display, bei der Kamera und bei der tatsächlichen Rechenleistung Federn lassen. Unterm Strich bleibt das neue Flaggschiff aus Taiwan damit zwar eines der besten Smartphones, die man derzeit kaufen kann. Aber speziell Freunde von Multimedia-Anwendungen sollten sich das Konkurrenzmodell ganz genau ansehen. Das Sensation bringt fast alles mit, was man sich derzeit bei einem Android-Smartphone wünschen kann. In many ways the HTC Sensation is outstanding. The metal build is exactly what we expect from a smartphone of this calibre. Performance is exceptionally good, loading programs quickly, ensuring the phone never feels slow. HTC Sense is great too; sure there are a few things we'd like to see included, but the more efficient UI is still the best on an Android handset. Our main criticism is the screen, which is good, but not as good as the Samsung Galaxy S II. But to be rated as almost the best Android handset on the market is no bad thing.

HTC is bringing a fun addition to its Android smartphone portfolio with the HTC Sensation. The HTC Sense interface over the Android operating system makes it a typical HTC smartphone. The only thing I do not like is the scrolling through the menu, due to the horizontal tabs. The large screen is easy to use for multimedia applications and for viewing webpages, as even Flash websites are supported. The Friend Stream ensures that you will not miss an update from your Social Network. A fun bonus is the Widget as background of the unlock-screen. The HTC Sensation smartphone is of course equipped with all Google products and is also easy to use as a Hotspot when there is no connection available for your laptop. The camera is good, without too many setting possibilities, but it shoots good photos. All in all, it is a very complete smartphone. If we have to criticize, then it would have to be its appearance, as it is fairly boring and unoriginal. The front resembles the older HTC Desire and the back is in a league of its own, with all the diverse colors. However, that is a matter of taste and does not take away from the fun.

Samsung has launched a new high-end cell phone called the Samsung I9000 Galaxy S that has every reasons to boast of just not great looks but of great applications.The phone sports a smart & sexy look with a width of only 9.9m,a panel size of only 4? and a plastic body with a fingerprint magnet at the back of which is a 5megapixel camera.It has a 16million Super AMOLED screen below which two buttons are sensitive to touch directly bringing the menu and back apps.The Home key is also in the centre of the cell phone.

Samsung Galaxy S (i9000) test
Samsung Galaxy S hører bestemt til blandt de ypperste telefoner, man kan købe i dag, derom kan der ingen tvivl herske. Skærmen er intet mindre end fantastisk at se på, og hastigheden, tykkelsen og den lave vægt er ligeledes eminent. Men der er altså et par ting som irriterer os, og værst af alt er, at det er ting, man ret let kunne have undgået eller lavet anderledes. Tag nu fx den låse knap. Ingen, der betjener Galaxy S i bare 2 minutter, kan være i tvivl om, at den både er malplaceret og alt for lille!!! De fleste vil også kunne se, at der bare er for meget ?iPhone copycat? i denne telefon. Hvorfor Samsung vælger at gøre sådan, er for os en gåde, for de kan jo sagtens designe flotte og lækre telefoner uden at kopiere andre.. Kameraet er også lidt af en skuffelse, i hvert tilfælde den del der tager fotos, og lidt bemærkelsesværdigt er det som nævnt, at den første Galaxy (i7500), der kom for et år siden, har et bedre kamera end topmodellen Galaxy S. Skrive delen er ikke dårlig men kommer alligevel til kort over for fx Desire, og det samme gælder TouchWiz. Derfor må Galaxy S altså nøjes men en smule dårligere karakter end Desire/Legend, da de begge vinder på bedre allround preformens, og det til en lavere pris vel at mærke.. Men tag nu og se den live, for den skærm må du bare se. Den er imponerende, og er du til at se egne. divx. film, er Galaxy S helt alene på toppen ? og der er langt ned til de nærmeste konkurrenter.. .

Nokia Lumia 800
Alle Augen richten sich auf das Lumia 800 - und damit auf die Zukunft von Nokia. Im Test überzeugt das erste Windows-Phone aus Finnland durchaus, allerdings kann es nicht die Zeichen setzen, die nötig wären, um Android und iOS zu zeigen, wie der Hase läuft. Im Detail überzeugen uns vor allem Design und Display. Die größte Schwäche leistet sich Nokia bei der Kamera - und auch bei der Sprachqualität ist noch Raum nach oben.
Das Nokia Lumia 800 sieht wirklich attraktiv aus und hat ein außergewöhnliches Design. Auch das hübsch integrierte Display überzeugt. Die größten Schwächen des Smartphones hat es ausgerechnet da, wo frühere Nokias am meisten überzeugen konnten: bei der Kamera. Fotos und Videos gelingen maximal mäßig, und die Linse auf der Front fehlt ganz.
