LanCool PC-K59 Midtower Case
Sadly the K59 also shares many of the deficiencies we've encountered in previous Lian Li cases. The hard drive cages are very loose and rattle against each other unless extra steps are taken to steady them. They have no additional support other than each other and four thumbscrews attaching it to the case. This is the third time we've had to create some extra padding for a Lian Li case to deal with this issue and this time was the probably the worst. We were amazed and unsettled to find that at the connecting point between the cages they could be pulled to the side by an inch. Additionally, though airflow isn't an issue, both the power supply and top fan vents have washboard designs that are more restrictive than necessary.
As LanCool is the budget arm of Lian Li, the PC-K59 midtower lacks the stylish all-aluminum construction and finish of its more expensive cousins. It still shares many popular Lian Li features, making it potentially a good value for those on a budget.

Lancool K58 Midi-Tower im Test
Bis auf den fehlenden Front-E-SATA Anschluss und die Probleme beim Entriegeln der Kunststoffelemente am Festplatten-Einschubrahmen haben wir nur positive Eigenschaften feststellen können. Das Lancool K58 Gehäuse sieht gut aus, ist robust, die Verarbeitung ist sehr gut, Vibrationen der Hardware wurden dank Gummiunterlagen minimiert und ein besonders einfacher Einbau von PCI (-E) Karten runden den positiven Eindruck weiter ab. Das Beste an diesem rein preislich gesehen eher Mittelklasse-Gehäuse ist die heutzutage wichtige Möglichkeit 2,5" SSD-Festplatten einzubauen. Da müssen andere Hersteller noch aufholen!
Die noch recht junge Firma LanCool, die zum Mutterkonzern Lian Li gehört, erweitert Ihre Produktpalette um ein weiteres Gehäuse. Das Lancool K58 soll insbesondere durch "bahnbrechende Features" zu einem akzeptablen Preis überzeugen. Ob dies gelingt, erfahren Sie in diesem Testbericht.

Lancool K58
I have no doubt in my mind that the K58 has styling and good air flow. The tool-less features were very impressive and useful making installation simple and quick. I was a little disappointed with the fit and finish of the plastic parts, i had a few areas that hung over when they shouldn't have. I also thought the fans were a little on the noisy side. Speaking of the fans, they say you have to buy a mounting kit to install the top fans, judging by the spacing of the holes you should be able to get away without doing that if you are ok with not having any vibration dampening. Overall the K58 was very impressive, even being a budget line I was impressed with their attention to detail, specifically in the wire management area. With it selling for just over $85 bucks it's easy to overlook some of its flaws, just remember with it being a steel case it does have some heft too it.
While at CES this past year I had the chance to tour the Lian-Li booth and check out many unique and stylish cases. Along side of the Lian-Li, Lancool their side company had a collection of their cases being shown off also. Today I have the chance to check out their Dragon Lord K58 case. Being my first experience with Lancool and Lian-Li I am excited to see their quality first hand. Considering the hype from others, I doubt that I will be disappointed.
