Corsair Carbide Series 500R Case Review
The Corsair Carbide Series 500R is an upgraded version of the 400R. For between USD 30 and USD 40 more, you get a 200 mm side fan, a three-step fan speed controller, support for a 240 mm radiator, air filter on the top panel, hard drive bays in a two-cage configuration, and support for longer video cards if the hard drive cage is removed. In summary, a very good option if you want these extra features. Otherwise,. the 400R remains as a terrific option on the USD 100-110 price range. ..
Let?s take a look at the latest mid-tower case from Corsair, the Carbide Series 500R, which features eight expansion slots and a three-step fan speed controller.

Corsair Obsidian 800D

Corsair Obsidian 800D
Go big or go home. That?s a lesson Corsair apparently took to heart for its first chassis, a 24x24x9-inch full-size enclosure that rivals Cooler Master?s ATCS 840 in size. Corsair?s Obsidian 800D is all black, from its matte steel frame and side panels to its brushed-aluminum front bezel, from motherboard tray to front-panel cables, from screws to standoffs. And the goodness is more than skin deep?the 800D has everything you?d expect from a premium case: quick-swap SATA bays, thermally isolated compartments, plenty of cable-routing cutouts, and more. In fact, it?s one of the best cases we?ve tested in years.

Corsair Obsidian 800D Chassis
But little did I know, Corsair's plans for their new chassis were vastly different than my assumptions. I've often thought that if companies would simply listen to their customer's wants and needs rather than trying to decide on their own what an end user wants, they would be vastly successful. Corsair has done just that with their debut chassis, the Obsidian 800D. By listening to end user and reviewer feedback, Corsair steps up to the plate with a chassis that has the potential to be an all-time great. Keep reading as we take a detailed look at the Obsidian 800D to see if it can live up to the hype.

Corsair Special Edition White Graphite 600T Review
We?ve already reviewed Corsair?s 600T once. We loved the case, but bemoaned the lack of side air intakes. The Special Edition White 600T is virtually the same as the regular edition, with a new paint job and one major tweak: the addition of a side-panel cutout that can be fitted with either an acrylic window or a mesh screen with fan mounts. At 20 inches tall by 10.4 inches wide by 22.7 inches deep, the 600T is not a small case, but once the steel side panels are removed you?re greeted with a vastness that seems bigger inside than out.

Corsair Graphite Series 600T White Case Review
The original Corsair Graphite Series 600T. proved to be a terrific case and deserved our recommendation due to its construction quality, number of features, and price. (There are cheaper mid-tower cases around, but not many have as many features and the same overall quality.) The white version of the 600T is, however, USD 20 more expensive, but allows you to add four 120 mm fans on the left-side panel. And, if you don?t want a mesh on the side panel, you can simply use the transparent acrylic window that comes with the product. So, it is your call whether you want to pay this extra USD 20..
Corsair released a new version of the Graphite Series 600T mid-tower case in white and with a new configuration for the side panel. Let?s check it out.

Corsair Obsidian 650D
So how would you go about creating a smaller case of an already excellent one and diversify your case line-up at the same time? Ask Corsair. They have not only managed to impress with the Graphite 600T (which is also available in white!), but have ported the great feature set found within that case and infused it into a new chassis worthy of the Obsidian name tag. The extra features, looks and quality give the Obsidian 650D plenty of unique aspects, while the shared use of the case internals should keep the price lower. For anyone eying with a 700D or 800D, but wanting something smaller, the Obsidian 650D is it. Let me repeat myself: it will be interesting to see, if Corsair ever chooses to bring out a sub 100 USD chassis in the future, but regardless of that - the new Obsidian 650D is a logical step in the right direction to diversify their high-end line-up of cases and can easily follow in the footsteps of its bigger brethren as well as other case manufacturers out there. The only downside is the small difference in price between the Graphite 600T and the Obsidian 650D, which may mean that Corsair is cannibalizing its own market.
Corsair presents the love child of the Obsidian 800D and the Graphite 600T series. The result is certainly stunning, as the Obsidian 650D offers the best of both worlds, with excellent interior design and great exterior looks & functionality

Corsair Obsidian 650D Case Review
Even though the. Obsidian 650D. is essentially a smaller version of the top-end 800D case, we think it is a very impressive case in its own right. It offers everything we look for in a case at this price point.. We can?t think of a case that we?ve reviewed that has a better internal design than the Obsidian 650D, except perhaps the. Graphite 600T. which is virtually identical inside. All of the cable routing holes are exactly where they need to be and are filled with high quality rubber grommets that aren?t going to fall out after poking a cable through.. The cutout in the motherboard tray is big enough to accommodate any CPU cooler back-plate, no matter where the CPU socket is positioned on your motherboard. There also seems to be a vast amount of room to work with inside the case which makes system installation a doddle.. There were only a couple of tiny things that we didn?t like about the 650D like the hard drive trays which felt a little flimsy and the loud fans when on full speed. But the only reason we noticed these things is because the rest of the case is so impressive.. As is often the case with impressive products, the Corsair Obsidian 650D doesn?t come cheap. At a price of around. £125 at YOYOTech. we think it still offers great value for money but won?t be affordable for a lot of users. But for those who can find the cash, we would definitely recommend it, especially for those who want to use water cooling.. Pros. Cons. KitGuru says: Another very impressive case design from Corsair..
Corsair is a relatively new player in the case market as they've only been selling cases for about two years. But every case they've produced to date has been very well received by enthusiasts a...

We don?t like to make recommendations right off the bat?part of the fun of reading these reviews (we?d imagine) comes from the buildup (ha!). But the Corsair 650D blew us away in pretty much every category.

Corsair Obsidian Series 650D Mid-Tower Computer Case
The Obsidian 650D is, I will say is a slight half breed of the Graphite and Obsidian series cases. It shows that it has more of the dominate traits of the Obsidian series, with slight touches of the Graphite. I think I can safely say that the Obsidian 650D is the gamers version of the line. The style and look are wonderful with plenty of features hidden within that make this a case that should be at the top of everyone's list.
Obsidian is a naturally occurring volcanic glass and it is produced when the felsic lava from a volcano cools rapidly. So something so hot can be really cool looking, can we say that about the Obsidian 650D from Corsair? You should be able to make that judgement call after this review.

Corsair Obsidian 650D Mid-Tower Case
If you have ever played around with the Corsair Obsidian 650D you will understand why we say that it is definitely in the top five best cases on the market today. Feature-wise this case offers everything one would like in a case. Cable management, superb ventilation and tool-less operation is only a small portion of what this great case has to offer. Not being as tall as the original 800D, the 650D still offers the end user a lot of room to do whatever they feel is for them. There is plenty of bays for optical drives or fan controllers, internally there is enough for several drives for those that need them. If you are into higher forms of cooling, Corsair made sure to provide plenty of space for a water-cooling loop or two. Honestly, I think the case is screaming to be outfitted with a custom loop as there is room at the top of the case as well as the front (with one or both HDD cages removed) for the radiators. A pump can be easily mounted in the bottom of the chassis. If you like to call yourself a gamer and like to built your system accordingly, well there is plenty of room to house up to three very long graphic cards as well. Whether you fancy running with SLI or Crossfire in a triple card setup, both will be of no concern with this case, all thanks to the additional eighth expansion slot in the rear. There are many little things that make this case what it is and we could go on for days talking about them all. The large fans, 3-speed fan controller, I/O ports with USB3 and the roomy space behind the motherboard tray all add up to one great case. The Obsidian 650D retails for about $199 making it a pricey case to own; is it worth it? We think so due to all the features it offered. It currently has 5/5 Eggs on NewEgg, and should that not convince you then the 5/5 Eggs on the 800D with 294reviews should, but if not still then maybe it's(good till 5/31/2011) can be it's saving grace.
The Obsidian series sports a style where the features seem to have a simple, or rather a subtle, appearance and makes it hard not to like. Currently, the series consist of three models: 800D, 700D and the 650D, the latter of which we get to bring to all of you today. The 650D is physically smaller than the others but still possesses all of the same styling characteristics. Constructed of a rigid steel structure, with a brushed aluminum faceplate, the 650D looks to be an easy choice for this looking for a new mid-size tower. As that is our mission today, lets find out if it's on par with other mid-sized cases, or raises the bar like it's predecessor!

Corsair Obsidian Series 650D Case Review
The Corsair Obsidian 650D is a high-end mid-tower case. The main problem is its price. It is a very nice case, but we think that, for the average user, there are other options on the market with better cost/benefit ratios ? including the. Corsair Graphite Series 600T. ..

TechRadar: Corsair Memory Carbide 400R
Including features normally associated with expensive chassis on sub-£150 cases is Corsair's goal with the Carbide series. The newly launched Corsair Carbide 400R is the little brother of the more expensive Corsair Carbide 500R, released at the same time.Although Corsair is a company usually associated with memory and PSUs, since branching out to PC cases it had built a solid reputation – one it hopes to build upon with the Corsair Carbide 400R. This mid-sized tower is aimed at PC enthusiasts who are keen on installing the best hardware money can buy, but is priced at an affordable level, unlike the more expensive Corsair Obsidian 700D chassis. Price is the big selling point of the Carbide 400R, and Corsair promises a lot for just £80. But does the company deliver on its promises, or have too many corners been cut when designing the Corsair Carbide 400R in pursuit of an attractive price point?Unlike some of its more ostentatious rivals, the Corsair Carbide 400R sports a relatively straight-laced design. Next to more expensive models it might look rather plain, but there are options to 'pimp out' the chassis if understated isn't your style, such as a lighting toggle switch at the top of the case for lighting kits. But what's really important is what's inside the case – or, we should say, what can be inside the case.

Corsair Carbide Series 400R
Final thoughts and rating The Carbide Series 400R doesn't have the visual lure of Corsair's previous solutions, but it manages to retain a lot of what's good about the Graphite and Obsidian Series enclosures and offer it in a package costing less than £80. USB 3.0 connectivity, support for multiple graphics cards measuring up to 316mm in length and exceptional cable management facilities are just some of the highlights, and it's all delivered in a mid-tower frame whose volume is put to excellent use. The chassis' ease of use makes it a joy to work with, and with 10 fan mounting points, four 5.25in bays, six 3.5in bays and eight expansion slots, there's no shortage of expandability. The unimaginative exterior may encourage would-be buyers to stump up the extra cash and opt for the lush Graphite 600T or the suave Obsidian 650D, but if you happen to have taken a liking to the Carbide 400R's bulging panels and rounded front bezels, make no mistake; this is a rewarding enclosure armed with almost everything a budding enthusiast needs.
Corsair's first sub-£100 chassis put to the test.

Spire Gemini
